Raw Recipes
Nut Mylk
 
This is a staple in our whare (house). Use as a base for your Supershakes, in Raw Granola or simply drink as is.
Ingredients:
- 1c Any combination of nuts and/or seeds (Almonds, cashews, macadamia, sunflower, pumpkin, sesame).
- Fresh water for soaking.
- Optional: 1tsp honey or agave, 1/2 tsp cinnamon and 1/2 banana
Method:
- Put nuts/seeds in large jar and fill with fresh water, leave overnight or at least 8 hours.
- Strain and rinse nuts with fresh water.
- Place in blender with approximately 2 cups of living water.
- Blend till smooth, strain if you want a very smooth mylk.
Store in sealed glass jar, will keep in fridge for 2 days.
Green Smoothie
 
This popular drink is delicious and so easy to make. A really good way to get an abundant amount of raw greens into our body.
Ingredients:
- 1 Banana.
- 1/2 Avocado.
- Any seasonal fruit e.g. pear, apple
- 1 large bunch of wild greens (puha, kopakopa, dandilion or dock)
- Fresh water
Method:
- Blend all ingredients in a blend till smooth. Adding enough water to get desired consistency.
I find that the wild greens you find around you is what your body needs at that moment in time. This recipe also works well with our garden grown greens too.
Raw Chocolate Ice Cream
 
This devine raw ice cream is so rich and creamy, tino reka!
Ingredients:
- 2c Cashew nuts (soaked for 6-12 hrs).
- 2c Ice.
- 3/4c Agave or Raw Honey.
- 4 dsp Cacao Powder.
Method:
- Blend in high speed blender until smooth, not too long or it may melt.
- You can freeze in container but when removing let sit for half an hour to soften.
This ice cream can be made into different flavours, simply replace the cacao powder with berries, banana and coconut, mint (just blend a few sprigs of fresh mint in blender) or vanilla.
Raw Fudge Cake
 
We are blessed in Aotearoa to have many beautiful nuts growing here, I love to use local walnuts as they taste so rich blended with Cacao. You can use this recipe to make one cake or many little bliss balls, enjoy!
Ingredients:
Base- 3c Walnuts (or macadamia, almonds or cashews), soaked overnight.
- 2/3c Cacao Powder.
- 1 tbsp Agave or Raw Honey.
- 1/4tsp Crystal Salt
- 1c Dates
- 1 Avocado.
- 1/3c Dates.
- 1/4 - 1/2c Agave or Raw Honey (depending on sweetness desired).
- 1/2c Cacao Powder
Method:
- For the base rinse nuts in fresh water, add to blender/processor with cacao powder, agave and salt, blend. Add dates while processor is still rinning, until fully mixed. Form into base of cake.
- For the cream blend all ingredients in blender/processor till smooth.
- Spread the cream on top of cake and pile on fresh fruits, chill for 1/2 hour before serving.
