Born and raised in the Highlands of Scotland. Took flight and was roaming in the South Pacific when I discovered Aotearoa. I am now blissfully settled here with Te Kaha and our 2 beautiful tamariki (children). As a whanau (family) we home educate, emerse our wairua (spirit) in our beautiful surroundings and enjoy a plant based lifestyle.
Being 'Raw' for me is as much about growing our own kai (food) as being intimate with these plants. In this way I feel we gain knowledge and healing as well as nutrients, vitamins, minerals and emzymes from these foods.
We met cacao on a trip to Hawaii in 2006. Having not eaten chocolate for many years, there was an instant connection!
On returning to Aotearoa I discovered that very few people knew of this superfood and found that it was not available in any organic shops. I decided I wanted to make cacao available for our whanau and the wider community in general and so I created Raw Chocolate Hearts. The hearts represent not only love but the connection between Cacao and our heart space.
It has been an honour for me to work with these foods and share the love I feel when working with the Cacao. I believe Cacao has the potential to reveal your true destinies, the potential of the moment!
I use Karakia (prayer) with my work and mantra's are often played while working, the practice of being in a 'space of love'. I hope you feel this with all these Handmade Raw Chocolate products I make...............
